There was a mere sprinkling of snow on the ground when I eventually went to bed last night. By this morning it was several centimetres thick, with large flakes still falling. Knowing if the sun came out that it would all turn into a sloppy mess, I slipped out of the office to take a few photos. There will be plenty more snow days this winter but this was our first and, as such, it was essential that I document it!
And, after all, as Hobbes once said, “the world looks brand new” – it’s like having a clean canvas on which to paint; photos of familiar things to be captured in completely new ways.
Bring on winter! I’m ready.
Photos were taken using a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens on a D600 body.
